Mississippi State football: Solid 4-star OT commits to Bulldogs
By Ethan Lee
Jimothy Lewis is the latest 4-star talent to commit to join Zach Arnett and the 2024 Mississippi State football recruiting class.
Zach Arnett is absolutely on fire these days. His recruiting efforts are definitely helping build the 2024 Mississippi State football recruiting into an incredible group that is exciting to keep up with. And the latest talented high school prospect to announce his intent to join with the Bulldogs is Jimothy Lewis.
Lewis is an incredible addition to the 2024 class for this Mississippi State football coaching staff. The Bulldogs just landed one of the best offensive linemen the state of Florida has to offer for this recruiting cycle.
Because of his talent, Lewis held a number of offers from some very noteworthy teams. But the Bulldogs were able to earn his commitment thanks to the recruiting efforts of Will Friend and Tony Hughes, who were listed as the primary and secondary recruiters on Lewis’ recruiting profile.

Lewis chose to commit to the Bulldogs over the likes of the Alabama Crimson Tide, Auburn Tigers, Baylor Bears, Florida Gators, Georgia Bulldogs, LSU Tigers, Miami Hurricanes, Tennessee Volunteers, and Ole Miss Rebels, among many other programs.
In addition to being the latest 4-star to commit to joining the Bulldogs, Lewis is also the latest lineman to be interested in playing in Starkville. Mississippi State currently has four offensive lineman lined up in the 2024 class.
As a whole, there are 14 players in the 2024 Mississippi State football recruiting class. The Bulldogs’ coaches have a lot of work to do to ensure that all of that talent arrives in Starkville once signing day gets closer, but there’s a lot of positive momentum around MSU right now.
Mississippi State is now up to No. 18 in the national recruiting rankings. In the Southeastern Conference, the Bulldogs sit at No. 7, narrowly behind the Ole Miss Rebels but still ahead of the Arkansas Razorbacks, Alabama Crimson Tide, Texas A&M Aggies, and others.
That’s a pretty good spot to be heading into July.
A lot can happen between now and signing day, but if this momentum can continue and the Bulldogs can maintain this recruiting success, then MSU football fans will be happy with the way this group looks heading into next season.
