The 2024 Mississippi State football recruiting class got even bigger as PJ Woodland announced his commitment to the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

Zach Arnett sure seems to know how to recruit in the state of Mississippi. Yet another talented star has committed to join the 2024 Mississippi State football recruiting class as PJ Woodland took to Twitter to announce that he is committing to join the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

That’s big.

According to his recruiting profile, Woodland’s primary recruiter was Darcel McBath. Woodland is listed at 6-0 and 165 pounds, making him a solid size to play cornerback in the SEC.

The 4-star from Hattiesburg, Mississippi held a number of offers from teams all over the country, including some notable programs from around the SEC.

Mississippi State football recruiting: PJ Woodland announces commitment to MSU Bulldogs

Arnett and Mississippi State ended up beating out the likes of the Arkansas Razorbacks, Auburn Tigers, LSU Tigers, Tennessee Vols, Texas A&M Aggies, and Ole Miss Rebels, among other programs.

The Texas Longhorns, Florida State Seminoles, Vanderbilt Commodores, Arkansas State Red Wolves, and Tulane Green Wave are also amongst the teams that ended up extending offers to Woodland.

But, he committed to the Bulldogs. And as a result, Mississippi State’s 2024 recruiting class now has 11 commitments in it.

Now it should be noted that, Mississippi State needs to ensure that Woodland, and the rest of the 2024 recruiting class, end up arriving to Starkville after signing day and there’s still more recruiting work to be done. MSU’s work isn’t done just yet.

Still, this is big news for the Bulldogs and it’s clear that Arnett’s recruiting efforts are continuing to pay off. Keeping talented stars like Woodland coming to Starkville seems to be a big priority for this Bulldogs’ coaching staff. And so far, it seems to be working.
