The Mississippi State football SEC reveal was unique and certainly featured some noteworthy AI interpretations of SEC mascots.

Thanks to a creative video put together by the good folks behind the Mississippi State football account, we now get to see eight horrifying creatures that are supposedly AI-generated mascots.

Here are the eight SEC teams that the Bulldogs will face in 2024:

  • Arkansas Razorbacks
  • Florida Gators
  • Georgia Bulldogs
  • Missouri Tigers
  • Ole Miss Rebels
  • Tennessee Volunteers
  • Texas Longhorns
  • Texas A&M Aggies

And with the unveiling of these eight teams, the Mississippi State football creative team got, uh, creative. Here’s the majestic and perfect video that the MSU athletics department revealed for the occasion:

Those “AI-generated” mascots are… interesting. Some might say that they’re terrifying. I think they’re terrifying.

Mississippi State’s 2024 SEC foe reveal has creatures that haunt me

Without further ado, here’s my thoughts on these eight creative monstrosities, ranking them from the most benign to the most horrifying:

No. 8: Texas Longhorns, friendly cow-man-thing:

No. 7: Florida Gators, angry blue-orange lizard:

No. 6: Georgia Bulldogs with messed up shoulders

No. 5: Missouri Tigers that I saw in Zootopia last week when I was watching it with my kid:

No. 4: The Arkansas Razorback has a beer belly:

No. 3: Ole Miss Rebels and the shark needs some pants:

No. 2: Texas A&M Aggies and their hands:

No. 1: Tennessee Vols and the most horrifying citrus I’ve ever seen:

In all seriousness, it needs to be said that this video was brilliant. Truly great. I love it and friends have sent it to me. This is art and I’m truly impressed by the effort and the graphic here. Thanks and Hail State to the creative brains that made these monsters.

I would like to buy prints of each and every one of these monstrosities.
