With the tragic passing of former Mississippi State head coach, Mike Leach, the 2023 Bulldogs football team will be learning a brand new style of offense under Kevin Barbay.

Former Mississippi State Bulldogs quarterback, Nick Fitzgerald, says that they should have won a national championship.

Nick Fitzgerald met up with Saturday Down South, and he talked about how the Mississippi State Bulldogs could have made the College Football Playoff if Dan Mullen had stayed the head coach for one more year.

Nick, I think we all deep down believe that. Dan Mullen left a team that was full of talent when he accepted the head coaching job at Florida. I believe even Dan himself knows that team would have made a run for it.
