The Mississippi State Bulldogs lose in the “First Four In” game vs. the Pittsburgh Panthers.

The Mississippi State basketball team was one of the last four teams in the NCAA Tournament, and they played against the Pittsburgh Panthers to be the true No. 11 seed to face off against the Iowa State Cyclones.

Unfortunately, the Mississippi State Bulldogs came up short by just one point. The Bulldogs lost to the Panthers by a score of 60-59.

Tolu Smith needed to do more, but the Pittsburgh Panthers prepared well. The Pittsburgh Panthers came into this “First Four In” game knowing that had to do one thing to win this game… Shut Tolu Smith down, and that they did. The Panthers double-teamed Tolu Smith from the tip-off of tonight’s basketball game.

The Bulldogs had a good look to end the game, but the game-winner bounced off the rim.

The future of Mississippi State Basketball is bright.

Not only was this Chris Jans’ first year as the Mississippi State basketball head coach, but Jans is already going out and landing big-time recruits.

The Mississippi State basketball program will be different (in a good way) because of the energy, talent, and hard work that Jans has brought to Mississippi State basketball.

The latest on what Chris Jans has done to make Mississippi State basketball: The Mississippi State Bulldogs have landed four-star recruit, Josh Hubbard, to their 2023 recruiting class. Hubbard originally committed to in-state rival, the Ole Miss Rebels.

Mississippi State Bulldogs Football is preparing for the future.

Zach Arnett and Mississippi State Football are on the recruiting trail. Four-star quarterback, Josh Flowers, and unrated offensive tackle, TJ Lockhart, have committed to the Mississippi State Bulldogs’ 2024 recruiting class. Zach Arnett is already starting strong on the recruiting trail.
