Mississippi State Basketball: The Bulldogs made the NCAA Tournament!

The Mississippi State basketball team finished the college basketball regular season 21-12 (8-10).
The Mississippi State Bulldogs won one game in the SEC Basketball Tournament this past week vs. the Florida Gators. They were quickly defeated by the Alabama Crimson Tide in the quarterfinals.
Mississippi State Basketball head coach, Chris Jans, has made a difference in this program.
First-year head coach, Chris Jans, has come to Starkville, Mississippi, and immediately made a difference. Chris Jans does not plan to stop there, but the first-year head coach plans to win some games in this year’s NCAA Tournament. The Mississippi State Bulldogs were not expected to make the NCAA Tournament this year. Many Bulldog fans expected this year’s team to be right back in the NIT.
The Mississippi State Bulldogs are potentially a No. 11 seed in this year’s NCAA Tournament.
The 2022-2023 Mississippi State basketball team enters this year’s NCAA Tournament as one of the last four teams to make it in.
The Mississippi State Bulldogs will face off against the Pittsburgh Panthers.
As one of the last four teams in, the Mississippi State basketball team will have to defeat the Pittsburgh Panthers to be a true No. 11 seed. If the Bulldogs do win, they will face off against the Iowa State Cyclones in a No. 6 vs. No. 11 first-round matchup.
This is a big deal for the Mississippi State Basketball program.
The Mississippi State Bulldogs have not been in the NCAA Tournament since 2019, and this is a huge deal. Not only is it a huge deal because the Mississippi State basketball program has a first-year head coach, but it is always a big deal whenever your team makes it into the Big Dance. The Mississippi State Bulldogs will have a shot at a national title, and that is always fun to think about.
The Mississippi State basketball team will face off against the Pittsburgh Panthers on Wednesday, March 15th in Dayton, Ohio.
