The Mississippi State basketball team is back on the road to take on the Vanderbilt Commodores in an SEC basketball matchup. Today’s basketball game will tip off at 7:30 p.m. CT/8:30 p.m. ET. The matchup between the Mississippi State Bulldogs and the Vanderbilt Commodores will be played at the Vanderbilt University Memorial Gym in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Mississippi State Bulldogs look to win their ninth SEC basketball game of the season after defeating the South Carolina Gamecocks. In what many would call a must-win game, the Mississippi State basketball team handled business vs. the South Carolina Gamecocks at home in a 74-68 win. The Bulldogs look to get another SEC win tonight.

Chris Jans has come in as the first-year head coach of the Mississippi State basketball team and has already made a massive difference if you have watched this 2022-2023 Mississippi State basketball team, you know just how different they look compared to the last five years.

The Vanderbilt Commodores are coming off a huge win at Rupp Arena vs. the Kentucky Wildcats, 68-66. The Commodores are currently 10-7 in conference play. The Commodores have been up and down all season on the basketball court, but they have momentum after defeating Kentucky on the road.

The Mississippi State Bulldogs are 20-10 entering today’s SEC basketball matchup. The Bulldogs finished non-conference play with only one loss on the season. Mississippi State’s eight losses are against the Drake Bulldogs, the Alabama Crimson Tide (twice), the Tennessee Volunteers (twice), the Georgia Bulldogs, the Auburn Tigers, the Florida Gators, the Kentucky Wildcats, and the Missouri Tigers. The Bulldogs are 8-9 in SEC play.
