The Mississippi State baseball team is on the road to take on the Oklahoma Sooners in the Frisco Classic in Frisco, Texas. Mississippi State baseball will play three games this weekend versus three different opponents. Today’s game will be against the Oklahoma Sooners, and the game will have its first pitch at 1:00 p.m. CT/2:00 p.m. ET. The Diamond Dawgs look to continue their momentum after winning their first and second series of the 2023 college baseball season.  The matchup between the Mississippi State Bulldogs and the Oklahoma Sooners will be played at Riders Field in Frisco, Texas.

The Mississippi State baseball team looks to make a statement this weekend against all three of their opponents. The Diamond Dawgs have shown spurts of excitement, especially from their batts, in the first few games of the year.

Chris Lemonis is the first and only coach at Mississippi State University to win a national title, and he does not plan to stop with just one trophy. He believes this team is stacked full of talent, and they can make their way back to Omaha and bring the Bulldog faithful another trophy.

The Oklahoma Sooners baseball program was in the National Championship series last year.

During these first nine games, there were so many names that I had not heard called until this year. This team has the potential to really grow. Again, you cannot base everything on the first series of the season, but there sure were a lot of young guys, and they all seemed to be very talented. Chris Lemonis has done his job recruiting these guys and getting them to come to play at Dudy Noble. Now, we are about to see the product of what Lemonis has worked at for three years.
