The 2023 Super Bowl will kick off on February 12th with four former Mississippi State football players on the field.

The Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles are set to face off on February 12th, 2023 in Super Bowl LVII. The Mississippi State football team will have four former players fighting for the greatest football accomplishment you can achieve, a Super Bowl victory.

Here are the four former Mississippi State football players in Super Bowl LVII:

Chris Jones (Kansas City Chiefs, Defensive Lineman)

Chris Jones is probably the most notable of all four former players. It is even difficult for me to believe that he went to Mississippi State whenever I watch him play because of how incredible he truly is at football.

Chris Jones ended the Cincinnati Bengals’ final offensive possession with a sack to give Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City offense the ball back to go down the field and kick a game-winning field goal.

Willie Gay (Kansas City Chiefs, Linebacker)

Willie Gay, the newest of all four former players to the NFL, looks to make a difference in Super Bowl LVII by covering the middle of the field for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Fletcher Cox (Philadelphia Eagles, Defensive Lineman)

Fletcher Cox has led the Philadelphia Eagles’ defense into this year’s Super Bowl. Cox is another one of those dominant defensive players, like Jones, that can be hard to believe he played for your college team. Cox and Jones are currently two of the highest-paid defensive lineman in the NFL.

Darius Slay (Philadelphia Eagles, Cornerback)

Alongside Cox, Darius Slay looks to bring Philadelphia a Super Bowl for the first time since 2017. Darius Slay was one of Mississippi State football’s greatest cornerbacks in history. Slay played next to Mississippi State’s Jim Thorpe award winner, Jonathan Banks, during his time at Mississippi State. Slay nearly went unnoticed until he was in the NFL where he really made a name for himself.

Good luck to all of our Mississippi State Bulldogs.
