The Mississippi State basketball team is back at home to take on SEC foe, the Florida Gators. Today’s basketball game will tip off at 7:30 p.m. CT/8:30 p.m. ET. The Bulldogs look to get back on track tonight and pull out a win versus a team they know they can beat. The matchup between the Mississippi State Bulldogs and the Florida Gators will be played at the Humphrey Coliseum in Starkville, Mississippi.

Mississippi State basketball needs a win tonight.
The Mississippi State basketball team started with one of its best seasons in school history, but the Bulldogs lost their first two SEC matchups vs. the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Tennessee Volunteers. They then hosted the Ole Miss Rebels and found their first SEC win of the season. Not long after they found themselves back in the loss column whenever the Bulldogs traveled to Georgia. Mississippi State is now on a three-game losing streak after being defeated by the Auburn Tigers and Tennessee Volunteers.
The Mississippi State basketball team is 12-6.
The Mississippi State Bulldogs are 12-6 entering today’s SEC basketball matchup. The Bulldogs finished non-conference play with only one loss on the season. Mississippi State’s six losses are against the Drake Bulldogs, the Alabama Crimson Tide, the Tennessee Volunteers (twice), the Georgia Bulldogs, and the Auburn Tigers.
The Florida Gators are 10-8.
The Florida Gators are coming off a tough loss to the Texas A&M Aggies by 2 points, 54-52. The Gators need tonight’s win as much as the Mississippi State Bulldogs need it.
