On October 15th, Mississippi State unveiled its newest addition to the Mississippi State football uniforms vs. the Kentucky Wildcats. The State script helmets will make an appearance this Saturday night.

The 2022 Mississippi State football team is back home on Saturday night to face off against the Auburn Tigers. The Bulldogs will take the field at Davis Wade Stadium at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN2. The Auburn Tigers come into this game with a 3-5 (1-4) record for the 2022 season. The Mississippi State Bulldogs have a 5-3 (2-3) record thus far in the 2022 season. All three losses have come against SEC opponents on the road.  After two straight SEC road games and a bye week, the Mississippi State football team is excited to be back in front of the Bulldog faithful.

Mississippi State announced that this would be a white-out game for the Bulldog fans to make Davis Wade look icy on Saturday night. Along with the white-out comes all-white uniforms for the Mississippi State football team.

We knew that the Mississippi State football team would have white headgear, white jerseys, and white pants, but the Bulldog faithful found out that the white, State script helmets would be making their second appearance of the season this Saturday night.

One of the big topics for Mississippi State athletics this season has been the rebranding of logos, specifically within Mississippi State football. Many beat writers, journalists, and fans are wanting to see Mississippi State be defined by the word, “State,” in all of its athletic programs. This began to be a massive topic discussed amongst Mississippi State fans.

Honestly, the door began to creak open whenever former Mississippi State athletic director, John Cohen, left to be the Auburn athletic director on Monday. Many fans, including myself, began to think of all of the new ideas, branding, and marketing that a new athletic director could bring to Mississippi State University.
