The Mississippi State Bulldogs take on the Alabama Crimson Tide at 6:00 p.m. CT this Saturday night. The 2022 Mississippi State football team looks to bounce back this weekend vs. the Crimson Tide. Who are the people that could stop them from bouncing back? I’m glad you asked.

Bryce Young

2021 Heisman trophy winner, Bryce Young, leads the Alabama offense. He is convincingly Alabama’s best player on this year’s football team. Some Alabama fans say he’s having a better year than his Heisman year. This may go without saying, but Bryce Young is the first person the Mississippi State football team should worry about on Saturday night.

Will Anderson Jr.

Will Anderson Jr. leads the other side of the ball. Anderson Jr. will be a top-10 draft pick, and I expect to see him starting on Sundays in the near future. He is the type of linebacker that can do it all. Will Rogers, Woody Marks, and Tulu Griffin have to keep their eyes open and be on the lookout for Will Anderson Jr. Saturday night.

Ga’Quincy “Kool-Aid” McKinstry

Defensive back, Kool-Aid McKinstry, will be lurking and waiting on Saturday night. I expect him to guard either Rara Thomas or Caleb Ducking depending on the situation. He’s a playmaker and a great tackler in the open field.

Jahmyr Gibbs

Running back, Jahmyr Gibbs may be the most feared player by Bulldog fans. After Mississippi State’s atrocious defensive performance last Saturday in Lexington, expect Nick Saban to put the ball on the ground early and often. Jett Johnson, Bookie Watson, and Tyrus Wheat must be prepared to slow down Gibbs if the Bulldogs want a shot at taking down the Tide.

Henry To’oto’o

Linebacker, Henry To’oto’o leads the Alabama defense in tackles this year. He sees the field well and doesn’t let many plays get behind him. If Woody Marks needed to get around someone on Saturday, it would be this guy.
