The Mississippi State Bulldogs are headed to take on the Arizona Wildcats on Saturday at 10:00 p.m. CT. The game will be played at Arizona Stadium in Tucson, Arizona. The 2022 Mississippi State football team is favored by -10.5 according to FanDuel.com.
Mississippi State expects to bring a decent amount of fans to Saturday night’s game vs. the Wildcats. The question, “Are cowbells allowed in the stadium?” is always brought up whenever fans are traveling to a new stadium. It is a valid question.
Personally, I have traveled to many Mississippi State games over my lifetime, and I cannot remember a time when they were allowed. That’s not saying I didn’t sneak in a few cowbells during some cold weather games inside the blankets I was carrying. All that to say, I was shocked when I read that cowbells would be allowed inside Arizona Stadium.
I, along with several other Mississippi State fans, was fooled after a misleading tweet was released on Thursday afternoon.
You could see how this would be misleading. Later that afternoon, this tweet was released in the same thread:
I expect a few Mississippi State fans to find a way to sneak them into the stadium… They always do, but it is currently not allowed. It seems to me that this is more of a Pac-12 rule than an Arizona rule because of the original tweet that said that cowbells would be allowed. Either way, let’s hope that the outcome of the game does not come down to whether or not we had our cowbells.
So, if you are Mississippi State traveling to Tucson, Arizona this weekend and you are reading this, your answer is no, cowbells are not allowed inside the stadium. That’s not to say you can’t bring your cowbell and ring it all the way up until you make the walk to enter the stadium.
