Mississippi State Football: the Tide is Rolling the Bulldogs at the Half
The Mississippi State Football team is on the field tonight taking on the Alabama Crimson Tide. The Bulldogs kicked off and Alabama drove down the field helped by two pass interference calls on Colin Duncan. The Bulldog defense would hold Alabama to a 40-yard field goal by Will Reichard.
Alabama scored two touchdowns through the air on their next two offensive possessions as Devonta Smith streaked past safeties Colin Duncan(35 yards) and Londyn craft (53 yards).
Alabama kicks another field goal (24 yards).
Devonta Smith has scored his 3rd touchdown, this time beating true freshman Emmanuel Forbes.
Mississippi State needs to get in gear as the Alabama Crimson Tide will continue to blow the game open.
I am not surprised at the score at the half.
Ignore the Prediction label, this is for Halftime
The Air Raid Grounded by the Tide
The Mississippi State offense is being overrun by the Alabama Defense. The Bulldogs started the game with four straight three and outs. KJ Costello was knocked out of the game while scrambling tackled by two Alabama defenders, taking a shot to the head. Will Rogers will be thrown into the fray on the next Bulldog drive.
Mississippi State finally earned their first down on a run by Marks. Alabama has 18 first downs to 1 for Mississippi State. Mike Leach has to find a way around the rush three and drop eight defense.
The Bulldog Defense Is Playing Their Hearts Out
The Defense has no time to rest due to the offense being ineffective. Devonta Smith is still running on his two touchdown catches as he easily beat two safeties deep. With the offense struggling the defense will have to dig deep as Alabama will no doubt start to run the ball. The offense has to help the defense out here and sustain a drive or two. You have to give the defense a hand that they were able to hold Alabama to field goals on two of their drives.
