Erroll Thompson is the unquestioned leader of the Bulldog defense. He is the leading tackler (39)and sets the tone for the run defense. When Najee Harris attempts to come through the hole, Thompson needs to hit him and hit hard. Thompson will need the rest of his linebacking core to help contain Harris, but Thompson is the engine that makes this run defense go. Thompson also will have to be disciplined when he drops into coverage. Although he is not known for his foot speed, he lays the lumber when he makes an impact.
