Mississippi State Football: These Players or Position Units Need to Have a Breakout Performance for the Bulldogs to Have a Chance to Beat #2 Alabama

Mike Leach takes his 1-3 Mississippi State Bulldogs to Tuscaloosa to take on Nick Saban and his 4-0 #2 Alabama Crimson Tide. Mississippi State has been in news, but for all the wrong reasons. After the Kentucky game Coach Leach stated that there could be a purge of the roster.

Since October 20, the Bulldogs have lost a total of eight players. Among those players is All-SEC Kylin and two former Four Star quarterback prospects in Garrett Shrader and Jalen Mayden. According to Leach, more attrition could occur.

As the Bulldogs prepare to face a team they have not beaten since 2007, fans have to wonder who will step up to help their Bulldogs perform against Alabama. The Bulldogs also defeated Alabama in 2006 with both wins coming under Sylvester Croom. In order for the Bulldogs to have a good showing in Tuscaloosa, these players and position units need to have a breakout performance.
