Darius Slay transferred to Mississippi State after spending the beginning of his college career racking up some monster stats at Itawamba Community College. Once he became a member of the Bulldogs, he began to make himself known to the SEC immediately.

Slay was a shutdown corner who had incredible closing speed and seemed to run seamlessly with receivers. His instincts were what set him apart from other corners as he always seemed to find his way around the ball even when it wasn’t thrown in his direction.

After two strong seasons at Mississippi State, Slay was taken by the Detriot Lions with the 36th overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. He played with the Lions through 2019 and was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in March of 2020.
