Round 7, Pick 228. Tyre Phillips. OL. Mississippi State. 6. player. 44. Pick Analysis

Many draft sites have Tyre Phillips going undrafted due to a deep class of offensive linemen. However, it’s likely that we’ll see what we have in past seasons, with a handful of the top OL prospects going in the first round. That could bump Phillips up to a late-round pick.

The Falcons lost some draft picks in trades, but will still be looking to bolster an underperforming offensive line. Even if they take a guard or tackle in an early round, there’s a good chance they’ll look for some depth in the later rounds.

Phillips has experience at both guard and tackle, and that bodes well for him. The Falcons will need to find some big bodies who can be versatile on the line. His length and strength are two untouchable attributes, while his footwork and ability to play in space will need some work.

It would be hard to see Phillips dropping out of the 7th round, and he could possibly go sooner.
