The Mississippi State baseball team broke out the opening weekend of the 2019 season with a bang and looked dominant in a sweep of Youngstown State.

The 2019 Mississippi State baseball season has been highly anticipated since the team made a surprise trip to the College World Series in 2018. The Bulldogs did not disappoint in their opening weekend.

There was a lot going on for the Mississippi State baseball team as the 2019 season opened. The Bulldogs were opening the completed New Dudy Noble Field, and placing three players in the ring of honor to go along with opening weekend festivities.

The Mississippi State baseball team was impressive on the field, but fans were discussing things that happened off the field throughout the weekend. Beer showers made an appearance on Friday night, and the Clarion Ledger had another headline mistake it had to apologize for. Justin Strawn breaks it all down in this edition of The Maroon and White Audible.
