Thanks to an Opening Day win for the Mississippi State baseball team, the Bulldogs are now in position to claim the series from Youngstown State.

The 2019 Mississippi State baseball season is off to a hot start and the Bulldogs are looking to keep their winning ways going. After claiming the first game of the series against Youngstown State to start the year, the Bulldogs are now in great position to claim the series today.

As of right now, the Mississippi State baseball team is completely and totally undefeated. The Bulldogs have not lost a game in 2019.

That’s really good.

Now, today, the Mississippi State Bulldogs have a great chance to come on out and claim their first series win of the 2019 Mississippi State baseball season. Of course, MSU also technically has a chance to go ahead and get its first sweep of the year against Youngstown State as well.

Also. MSU is undefeated in the New Dudy Noble Field. light

Yesterday, the Bulldogs dominated the Penguins with ease. An explosive eighth inning moved MSU past Youngstown State and gave Lemonis his first victory as the head coach of the Bulldogs’ baseball team.

Today, when the Mississippi State baseball team takes the field, it will be for a doubleheader. That means that the Bulldogs will have two opportunities to claim this series.

So, while it would be best if MSU remained undefeated and the Bulldogs won both games, the bare minimum for Lemonis and the Mississippi State baseball team would be to split today’s games.

That’s it.

That’s the bare minimum. Achieving more than that is preferred and better, but the bare minimum is also actually okay in this situation too.

Next. MSU explodes past Youngstown State in game one. dark

The Bulldogs and the Penguins will get today’s doubleheader started at noon in the New Dudy Noble Field.
