Want to keep up with Mississippi State football’s recruiting class on National Signing Day? Here’s what things look like right now.Joe Moorhead and the coaching staff of the Mississippi State football team are aiming to get things wrapped up with the 2019 Mississippi State recruiting class. The Bulldogs have put together a respectable class during the 2019 recruiting cycle, but it’s not quite one that will dominate headlines on National Signing Day.

The Mississippi State football team currently has the No. 23 recruiting class nationally. That’s really good! But, when compared against the rest of the Southeastern Conference, that same Mississippi State recruiting class currently sits at No. 10 in the conference coming into National Signing Day.

For Joe Moorhead and the Mississippi State Bulldogs to compete for conference championships (and then also the national titles Moorhead discussed when he was hired), there’s going to have to be some improvement on the recruiting front moving forward.

But this recruiting class is still a pretty good one. It shouldn’t go unnoticed that this class has some solid potential for the future.

The Mississippi State football team was smart to get five players on campus early.

Moorhead and the Mississippi state Bulldogs got several key players to Starkville as quickly as they could. Some of the best players in the 2019 Mississippi State recruiting class are already Bulldogs as they signed with State back in December and then enrolled in classes immediately after that.

Charles Cross, Mississippi State’s only five star in this class, is already in Starkville. Garrett Shrader, the Bulldogs’ assumed quarterback for the future, enrolled early. Ani Izuchukwu, a strong four-star defensive end, got to campus as quickly as he could.

Fred Peters and LaQuinston Sharp from the Mississippi junior college ranks have both arrived as members of the Mississippi State football team as well.

Coming into signing day, there’s currently 14 Bulldogs who have signed with the Mississippi State football team already. So that leaves a few other players still out there for the Mississippi State football team. That’s not too bad, all things considered.

Nathan Pickering is the most notable recruit who has yet to sign with State. Hopefully he’ll do that today.

Next. Meet the Bulldogs who signed early. dark
