Joe Moorhead and the Mississippi State football team are looking for help out at wide receiver. Can Kyziah Pruitt become an impact player there?

The wide receiver position has been anything but a strong point for the Mississippi State football team over the past few years. Joe Moorhead is hoping to resolve some of those issues with the 2019 Mississippi State recruiting class.

The Mississippi State Bulldogs are hopeful that new wide receiver Kyziah Pruitt can become a solid threat out at wide receiver over the next couple of seasons.

Pruitt, a three-star wide receiver, comes to Starkville from nearby Macon, Mississippi in Noxubee County. At 5-foot-11 and 185 pounds, Pruitt is far from being the biggest and strongest wide receiver prospect in the state, let alone the country, but that doesn’t mean that he can’t have an impact on MSU’s passing game.

Luke Getsy was the primary recruiter for Pruitt. Even though Getsy is gone, headed back to the Green Bay Packers, Pruitt should still be set in Starkville with Moorhead and the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

Pruitt chose to sign with the Bulldogs back in December during the early signing period. The Mississippi State football team was selected over Indiana, Arkansas State, Louisiana Tech, Memphis, Southern Miss, Marshall, and several other schools.

Moorhead and the Mississippi State football team were able to keep a talented (and potentially underrated) wide receiver in the state of Mississippi. Better yet, the Bulldogs are bringing him to Starkville.

That’s good.
