Ben Howland and his Mississippi State basketball team are looking to get things going in the right direction again. The Bulldogs battle the Auburn Tigers tonight. Let’s start getting ready, folks.

It’s officially gameday for Ben Howland and the men’s Mississippi State basketball team. Things haven’t been going so well for the Bulldogs as of late and Mississippi State could really use a solid win over a solid team to get this season going in a positive direction once more. A win over the Auburn Tigers tonight would qualify as such.

But Auburn isn’t a pushover and the Tigers are aiming to get some redemption of their own in this game. So, the Mississippi State men’s basketball team could certainly have its work cut out for it this evening.

The plus side is this: this particular Mississippi State basketball game is at home in Humphrey Coliseum and Auburn is riding a two-game losing streak with the Tigers’ most recent defeat coming on the road.

So, if things hold up, Mississippi State could certainly have a great opportunity to get that much needed win.

But, if the Mississippi State Bulldogs play as they did against Kentucky (and Ole Miss and South Carolina), then MSU won’t come out on top of this game. Howland better have his team ready as the Tigers are the No. 16 team in the country. They are a force to be reckoned with, even if they aren’t quite as good as they were say a year ago.

The MSU Bulldogs men’s basketball team needs a win. The Auburn Tigers men’s basketball team needs a win.

That could make this game very thrilling to watch.
