Men’s Mississippi State basketball moves into Top 15 of AP Top 25

The Mississippi State basketball team didn’t play a single game all of last week, but they moved back into the top 15 for the second time this season.

The Mississippi State basketball team didn’t play a single game last week. Despite the fact the team was off all week preparing for their first SEC game of the season, the Bulldogs moved up three spots in the AP Top 25 and back into the top 15.

This is the second time the Bulldogs have been in the top 15 this season. Let’s hope the Bulldogs respond better than they did the last time. Previously, the Mississippi State basketball team was in the top 25 was when they played Arizona State in the MGM Resorts Main Event out in Las Vegas. The Bulldogs lost that game 72-67 and plummeted in the polls the following week.

The Mississippi State basketball team was ranked 17th in the country last week. Without playing a game, the Bulldogs are up three spots this week due to losses by other teams ahead of them in the poll.

The Mississippi State basketball team still has plenty of opportunities to knock off some of these teams in the weeks to come. The Bulldogs will play a few teams currently ranked in the AP Top 25 now that SEC play is about to start..

The Mississippi State basketball team is hoping to make it to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since the 2008-09 Men’s basketball season. Should the team continue to play at a level which keeps them ranked in the AP Top 25, then the team and fans should see those dreams come to fruition.
