Pressure Nathan Stanley

There’s several things that the Bulldogs do well, especially on defense. But one that this Mississippi State football team certainly excels at is creating havoc in opposing team’s backfields. The Bulldogs should strive to get after Iowa’s Nathan Stanley and create some issues for the Hawkeyes’ quarterback.

At 6-4 and 242 pounds, Stanley is certainly a strong, stout quarterback that can take a beating. Mississippi State should strive to hit him a few times. This season, MSU has sacked opposing quarterbacks a total of 36 times.

If MSU is going to keep Iowa off balance on offense, it’ll be because the Bulldogs got after Nathan Stanley and forced him into mistakes. If the Bulldogs can get Stanley attempting to throw while on the run and under duress, then it’ll help with the next thing that MSU needs to do.

And that’s stopping one of the best tight ends in college football.
