Garrett Shrader

Arguably the most intriguing name on this list is Garrett Shrader. Shrader will be moving to Starkville, Mississippi from Charlotte, North Carolina and his connection to Joe Moorhead is probably the biggest factor in what has attracted Shrader to MSU.

Joe Moorhead had a huge part in recruiting Shrader while Mississippi State’s head coach was actually still part of the Penn State coaching staff. Shrader is the 11th best dual threat quarterback in this recruiting class nationally according to 247Sports and is seemingly perfect for the type of offense that Moorhead wants to run.

And, as a result of that, Shrader will be coming to Starkville to play in that system. At 6-4 and 215 pounds while still being mobile and quick, it’s easy to believe that he definitely fits the part of a Joe Moorhead quarterback.

Andrew Breiner was the guy in charge of getting Shrader to MSU and he made sure that Shrader picked the Bulldogs over Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Penn State, Mizzou, Ole Miss, South Carolina, West Virginia, and many others.
