Fred Peters

Joe Moorhead was able to get another important junior college signee out of this early signing period in Fred Peters. As Bob Shoop and the Bulldogs try to fill the holes in the secondary next season, expect to see Fred Peters’ name thrown around in those discussions.

Peters is a 5-10, 200 pound safety coming out of Jones County Junior College. He’s a highly rated three-star prospect that drew attention from several schools nationally, but is choosing to stay in Mississippi and play for the Bulldogs.

Peters chose to come play for Mississippi State over Ole Miss, Florida, Colorado, Florida Atlantic, and others. Terrell Buckley was the man that was Fred Peters’ primary recruiter for Mississippi State.
