Overall 8-4 and 4-4 in SEC: Grade C

It wasn’t always the prettiest season. It wasn’t all that Mississippi State football fans thought it would be. It could have been a lot better.

It also could have been a lot worse. The Bulldogs were staring at a 6-6 season or worse after their loss to Florida, but they were able to recover. Mississippi State went 5-2 in the final seven games, and will head to their ninth straight bowl.

Since it could have been a lot better than it was, and it also could have gone so much worse, I think giving the Mississippi State football team a C in 2018 sounds about right.
