The Mississippi State football team’s Senior Day was something to be proud of as the Bulldogs dominated the visiting Arkansas Razorbacks.

The final game in Davis Wade Stadium of the 2018 Mississippi State football season went pretty well for the Bulldogs. The Mississippi State football team was able to rack up 475 yards of offense as the Bulldogs crushed the Razorbacks 52-6.

The game started slowly for MSU as the Bulldogs were only able to muster a field goal in the first quarter. MSU made several mistakes and Nick Fitzgerald struggled to get into a rhythm passing early on, but that slump wouldn’t last for very long. MSU carried a 3-0 lead into the second quarter and the Bulldogs would find life on offense soon after.

Fitzgerald fittingly got the first touchdown of the day thanks to his legs, putting MSU up 10-0. Nick Gibson followed that up with a rushing touchdown of his own, extending that lead out to 17-0. Arkansas did get a field goal at the half to cut the lead to 17-3, but things were already out of reach for the Razorbacks.

To get the third quarter going, Arkansas added another field goal, but Nick Fitzgerald responded with three touchdown passes in the quarter, squashing any hope that the Razorbacks may have had of mounting a comeback.

With the score at 38-6, Fitzgerald would go on to throw another touchdown to start the 4th quarter, this time to Austin Williams, putting MSU up 45-6. And then, Williams was on the receiving end of yet another touchdown, this one from Keytaon Thompson, putting things away at 52-6.

Eight different wide receivers got involved in today’s game against the Razorbacks for the Mississippi State football team. Four different receivers caught touchdown passes, with Austin Williams catching two scores.

On the ground, senior Aeris Williams led the Bulldogs by rushing for 104 yards on just 15 carries. Nick Fitzgerald was right behind him with a touchdown and 85 rushing yards on 14 carries. Nick Gibson and Dontavian Lee also got involved as the two combined for 86 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries.
