Mississippi State Basketball moves up in Men’s AP Top 25 Poll

The Mississippi State baseketball team got off to a good start this past weekend and moved up a spot in the Men’s AP Top 25 poll.

The Mississippi State basketball team got off to a good start this past weekend. The Men’s team won their first game against Austin Peay 95-67 Friday night. They turned around and won their game this past Sunday afternoon 77-59 against Hartford.

The Bulldogs moved to 2-0 on the season and will continue their season at home against Long Beach State this Friday night. The first big test of the season for the Mississippi State basketball team will be when the team travels to Las Vegas, NV next week to participate in the MGM Resorts Main Event.

But for now, the Mississippi State basketball team opened the year as the 18th ranked team in the AP Top 25. The most recent poll released earlier today had the men’s team moving up one spot to number 17 in the country. Here is how the rest of the Men’s Basketball Associated Press Top 25 rounded out.

The Mississippi State basketball team will face a number of these teams throughout the course of their 2018-19 Men’s basketball season. The Bulldogs will play Tennessee, Auburn, Kentucky, and LSU during conference play. They will also take on Clemson December 8th in the Never Forget Tribute Classic played in Newark, NJ.

The Mississippi State basketball team is hoping to make it to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since the 2008-09 Men’s basketball season. Should the team continue to play at a level which keeps them ranked in the AP Top 25, then the team and fans should see those dreams come to fruition.
