SEC Football: The Auburn Tigers and the Texas A&M Aggies are each looking to lock up bowl eligibility this afternoon.

The Texas A&M Aggies and the Auburn Tigers both had high hopes for what this season could be. Now, the Tigers and the Aggies have identical 5-3 overall records and have fallen somewhat short of the hype that each team received coming into the season. Today, these two teams face off in an interesting SEC football game.

Jimbo Fisher’s first year has been solid though. Gus Malzahn’s sixth year should have been better up to this point than what it has been. The Aggies weren’t realistically expecting drastic improvements overnight, but Fisher has solidified his team’s defense and it looks better than in the past. The Tigers were expecting to get back to Atlanta, but that’s not happening this season.

How To Keep Up With This SEC Football Game

Why does this SEC football game matter to Mississippi State football fans?

Both Auburn and Texas A&M have lost to the Mississippi State Bulldogs. In fact, the games that MSU has played against these two teams are really the biggest wins of the Bulldogs’ season up to this point. MSU played its best football against Texas A&M and Auburn.

Both the Tigers and the Aggies have provided formidable opponents for MSU, but also some notable and memorable wins. Now, these two teams will play each other in an SEC football game that will help decide which win the Bulldogs should celebrate more at the end of the season.
