The Bulldogs’ rushing attack against LSU’s stout run defense.

It’s probably not going to be easy for the Mississippi State football team to run the ball well against the LSU Tigers. LSU’s run defense is pretty good and, well, the Tigers know that MSU is going to focus on running the ball here.

The Tigers are holding teams to 120.4 rushing yards per game and 3.5 yards per carry this season. MSU is averaging 240.7 yards per game on the ground and 6.0 yards per carry. The Tigers are going to do everything that they can to match what Nick Fitzgerald, Kylin Hill, and Aeris Williams are going to throw at them.

Granted, what that trio will “throw” at them will mostly be production on the ground.

The Mississippi State Bulldogs are going to have to play well at the line of scrimmage to truly be able to run the ball against LSU. MSU did that against Auburn, who has one of the best run defenses in the country, but doing it against LSU might be more difficult.
