Mississippi State football vs LSU 2018: Five first half takeaways

The Bulldogs’ defense is the only thing keeping MSU alive right now.

LSU has come close to putting the Bulldogs away in the first half already. The Tigers have been given opportunity after opportunity to come in and take the Mississippi State football team out of this game entirely.

So far, Montez Sweat and Johnathan Abram each have sacks on LSU quarterback Joe Burrow. The Bulldogs have been able to pressure LSU and have stifled their offensive attempts for the most part. The Bulldogs are relying on their defense in this game. It’s not necessarily fair, but that’s just how it is.
