Will the Bulldogs be able to maintain composure in Death Valley?

One of the hardest parts about playing LSU in Baton Rouge is the fact that LSU’s home crowd is incredibly disruptive. The Mississippi State Bulldogs will have to maintain their composure and limit their mistakes in this game.

That’s not something that’s just limited to Nick Fitzgerald or a couple of players. The entire team must do everything it can to play mistake free football and keep a level head in a hostile environment.

So far this year, the Bulldogs have struggled to do that while on the road.

When the Mississippi State football team went to Manhattan, Kansas, the Bulldogs committed 11 penalties and racked up 84 penalty yards. State was able to win that game and won big, but it shot itself in the foot repeatedly.

When the Mississippi State football team went to Lexington, Kentucky, the Bulldogs committed 16 penalties and had 139 penalty yards. MSU could’ve won that game, but it didn’t. State repeatedly failed itself and fell apart. The Bulldogs lost by 21 points.

MSU can’t afford to make those mistakes on the road again.
