Will either of these quarterbacks be able to play mistake free football?

This is arguably the biggest game of the season up to this point for Nick Fitzgerald. The Bulldogs’ fifth year senior starting quarterback hasn’t played up to the level that many expected him to play at, but that doesn’t mean that he can’t have some success this season.

In fact, Fitz is fresh off of a bye week and prior to that bye week, he had one of the most impressive games of his career as he dominated the Auburn Tigers with an incredible running performance.

Things will be a bit more difficult against LSU and the need for him to play cleaner football is certainly present. Mississippi State can’t afford for Fitzgerald to turn the ball over in Death Valley.

On the other side of things, the Mississippi State football team can’t afford to let Joe Burrow to execute cleanly. The Bulldogs must force Burrow into as many errors as possible in this game. Thankfully, Bob Shoop and State’s defense are playing great football right now and have the ability to impact Burrow.
