For the Mississippi State football team to be able to beat the LSU Tigers, which Bulldogs must step up this week?

One of the most important remaining Mississippi State football games of the season is happening this weekend. The Bulldogs are going down to Baton Rouge, Louisiana to face off against the LSU Tigers. The Tigers have become one of the best teams in the country thanks to some rather impressive victories and some notable improvements from last year.

That means that the Mississippi State Bulldogs will have a tough road test when they take on the Tigers this weekend. Of course, nothing is easy in the SEC, but it’d be nice if this road game would go a little better than the Bulldogs’ last one.

When the Mississippi State football team left Starkville last, the Bulldogs fell apart in Lexington, Kentucky. Nothing went right for the Maroon and White against the Wildcats and MSU eventually lost that game, which was a winnable one, by three scores. The offense was inept, the entire team lost control of its emotions, and the defense eventually ran out of steam.

Kentucky came away with a physical, grinding win over the Bulldogs. This weekend, MSU will likely face a similar sort of test. Only this time, State gets to go to one of the most hostile venues in all of college football.

If the Mississippi State football team is going to come out of Baton Rouge with a win on Saturday, these Bulldogs are going to need to step up. MSU will need sharp play, great coaching, and maybe even something of a miracle as well.

Here’s the Bulldogs that need to step up this week.
