The Mississippi State football team will take on the LSU Tigers next weekend in a night game in Death Valley.
After six weeks of competition for the Mississippi State football team, the Bulldogs will finally get a break this weekend. Mississippi State is fresh off of a solid thumping of a top ten ranked Auburn Tigers team and is sitting at 4-2 on the season. All-in-all, the first six weeks of the season were pretty good, but they could’ve been better.
Now, in week seven, Mississippi State finally gets to take a break.
But when the Bulldogs return to action next week, they will be given the task of going down to Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The Mississippi State football team will be expected to play LSU in Death Valley.
To top all of that off, it will officially be a night game. On Saturday, October 20th, the Mississippi State Bulldogs will play Ed Orgeron’s LSU Tigers at 6:00 PM Central Time on ESPN.
The LSU Tigers have jumped out to what has been a solid and somewhat surprising 5-1 start this year. LSU was ranked in the top ten prior to last week when the Tigers fell to the Florida Gators on the road in the Swamp. Now, the 13th ranked LSU Tigers will host the No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs this weekend in one of the most intriguing matchups of the weekend.
The Mississippi State football team might be catching LSU at the right time. There’s a good chance that regardless of what happens this weekend with LSU against Georgia, the Tigers will be feeling a physical toll from the game. If MSU can come out and get off to a hot start in Death Valley, then there’s a decent chance that State can come out of Baton Rouge with a victory.
