Each week of the 2018 football season, you can check back here for your weekly update to the SEC Power Rankings.

Six weeks are completed in the 2018 college football season. Last week’s games in the SEC continued to shake things up in the SEC Power Rankings. Things might steady out after this week however.

I said last week the East might be catching up to the West. There was some evidence that was still the case, and some evidence it was quite the opposite. What will happen the rest of the way and how will it affect the SEC Power Rankings?

So without further adieu, here are the SEC Power Rankings for Week 7.

1. Alabama Crimson Tide (6-0, Last Week: #1)

Another week, another Tide beat down. One thing that should be interesting to watch: Alabama has had some difficulty stopping the run. Will that bite them when they get to better competition? Probably not, but if you’re looking for rays of hope against the Tide, that’s where they can be found.

2. Georgia Bulldogs (6-0, Last Week: #2)

Georgia had a relatively easy time against Vanderbilt this past weekend.

3. Florida Gators (5-1, Last Week: #5)

The Gators have really put things together since their loss to Kentucky.

4. LSU Tigers (5-1, Last Week: #3)

Is this where LSU starts to resemble the team most thought they were at the start of the season. I think it is.

5. Kentucky Wildcats (5-1, Last Week: #4)

Kentucky put  up a good fight in College Station, but it simply wasn’t enough to overcome the Aggies.

6. Texas A&M Aggies (4-2, Last Week: #8)

Some would put them ahead of the Wildcats because they beat them, but they still have two losses.

7. Mississippi State Bulldogs (4-2, Last Week: #10)

Mississippi State desperately needed that win over the Auburn Tigers. They could still put together a really good year despite the slow start.

8. Auburn Tigers (4-2, Last Week: #6)

Auburn will likely be a 4 loss team, kinda like they always are.

9. South Carolina Gamecocks (3-2, Last Week: #9)

Give South Carolina credit for winning a game they probably shouldn’t, but not so much credit they get to move up in the rankings.

10. Ole Miss Rebels (4-2, Last Week: #11)

Ole Miss showed a pulse on defense last week. Only problem is it was against Louisiana Monroe.

11. Missouri Tigers (3-2, Last Week: #7)

By almost every way you can measure it, Missouri outplayed South Carolina. They somehow managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

12. Vanderbilt Commodores (3-3, Last Week: #12)

Vanderbilt needs to get things together and start plying like they did at the beginning of the year if they want to make it to a bowl.

13. Tennessee Volunteers (2-3, Last Week: #13)

Tennessee had the week off so they couldn’t lose.

14. Arkansas Razorbacks (1-5, Last Week: #14)

Arkansas is starting to play better offensively. They just have to do the same on defense if they want to win again this season.
