Each week of the 2018 football season, you can check back here for your weekly update to the SEC Power Rankings.

Five weeks are completed in the 2018 college football season. The SEC is shaping up quite a bit differently than some of us thought it would. The SEC Power Rankings definitely aren’t what I thought they would look like at this point in the season

The East might be pretty good, and the West might be top heavy. It’s too early to tell if there is a changing of the guard taking place, but it could happen.

So without further adieu, here are the SEC Power Rankings for Week 6.

1. Alabama Crimson Tide (5-0, Last Week: #1)

Same thing as usual for the Crimson Tide.

2. Georgia Bulldogs (5-0, Last Week: #2)

Georgia looked sloppy against Tennessee and still won without too much of a scare.

3. LSU Tigers (5-0, Last Week: #3)

LSU had their best offensive performance of the season against Ole Miss. Not sure how much that is worth considering it is the Ole Miss defense.

4. Kentucky Wildcats (5-0, Last Week: #4)

If Kentucky can get past Texas A&M this weekend, they could easily play Georgia the first weekend in November undefeated with the SEC East title on the line.

5. Florida Gators (4-1, Last Week: #11)

The Gators have only one loss to a team that might challenge for the division crown. They’re better than most of us thought.

6. Auburn Tigers (4-1, Last Week: #6)

Auburn still has a hard time scoring. The loser of their game this weekend at Mississippi State will have their season completely in shambles.

7. Missouri Tigers (3-1, Last Week: #9)

Missouri jumps up two spots after a bye week simply because so many others are going down.

8. Texas A&M Aggies (3-2, Last Week: #10)

Texas A&M didn’t look good on Saturday, but they did win. It’s more than what a lot of the teams below them can say.

9. South Carolina Gamecocks (2-2, Last Week: #7)

South Carolina can probably start winning again now that Georgia and Kentucky are done. But they need to start doing so in a hurry.

10. Mississippi State Bulldogs (3-2, Last Week: #6)

The wheels have fallen off very quickly for Mississippi State. What was supposed to be one of the best seasons ever for the Bulldogs is turning into a nightmare where they don’t even make a bowl. They have to have a win this weekend if they want to keep anyone believing in Joe Moorhead.

11. Ole Miss Rebels (3-2, Last Week: #10)

Ole Miss can’t play defense and their offense doesn’t appear to be that great when it goes up against a halfway decent defense.

12. Vanderbilt Commodores (3-2, Last Week: #12)

Vanderbilt almost lost to Tennessee State. Things aren’t good in Nashville.

13. Tennessee Volunteers (2-3, Last Week: #13)

Tennessee might be better in the future, but they certainly aren’t right now.

14. Arkansas Razorbacks (1-4, Last Week: #14)

Give the Hogs some credit for showing some fight against Texas A&M, but it was still a loss, and things don’t look like they’ll be any better any time soon.

That wraps up the sixth edition of the SEC Power Rankings. Check back next week to see how much change there is after the next set of games.
