Mississippi State football: Five first half thoughts on leading Dan Mullen and Florida

The Bulldogs have done a solid job of slowing Florida’s offense
While the Mississippi State football team hasn’t been able to move the ball as much as anyone truly wants, the Bulldogs have done a solid job of slowing the Florida Gators’ offense in the first half.
Like Joe Moorhead, Dan Mullen clearly doesn’t have his offense to where he wants it in this moment. Feleipe Franks has done a solid job of throwing the ball and the Gators have tried to run the ball right at MSU, but they’ve only been able to get one field goal out of it.
Mississippi State will need to do a better job of pressuring Franks in the second half and causing him to make more errors. Willie Gay had an opportunity at a pick, but it didn’t quite work our for him. The Bulldogs have done pretty good so far. It’d be great if they were doing just a bit better.
