Mississippi State’s offense seems close to clicking but isn’t there just yet

The Mississippi State football team is trying to get its offense to be fully functional. There’s been growing pains all month for the Bulldogs and MSU’s offense seems so close to getting there. But it’s still not quite where it needs to be.

If you were to look at the scoreboard, that’s all the evidence that you really need to show that the offense isn’t quite as efficient or explosive as it needs to be.

Twice, when the Bulldogs were driving the ball down the field on lengthy drives in the first half, MSU’s offense sputtered in the red zone. So far, Mississippi State only has 159 total yards of offense.

Joe Moorhead needs to correct that in the second half. The Bulldogs must execute better moving forward. Florida isn’t the best team on the upcoming schedule for MSU. Their defense is good, but it’s not the best. MSU’s offense needs to figure things out. The sooner it does, the better it is for everyone involved.
