How does Florida’s defense look this season?

The Florida Gators have been pretty good on defense so far. The best offense that the Gators have faced was Kentucky and the Gators played fairly solid defense against the Wildcats earlier this season.

Opposing offenses haven’t exactly thrived when taking on Florida. Quarterbacks are only completing 50 percent of their passes for 150.5 passing yards per game and 0.8 passing touchdowns per game.

On the ground, Florida is holding foes back fairly well. Things could definitely be better on this front for the Gators, but they could also be worse. Opponents are running the ball at an average of 4.3 yards per carry and they’ve been able to get 189.8 rushing yards per game as well.

Hopefully the Mississippi State football team can take advantage of this defense this weekend.
