Each week of the 2018 football season, you can check back here for your weekly update to the SEC Power Rankings.

Four weeks are completed in the 2018 college football season. That means we are 1/3 of the way through the college football season.

SEC play is in full force.  That means there will be significant changes in the SEC Power Rankings from week to week.

So without further adieu, here are the SEC Power Rankings for Week 5.

1. Alabama Crimson Tide (4-0, Last Week: #1)

The Crimson Tide continues to bludgeon opponents. This past week it was the Aggies. This week, it’ll be the Ragin’ Cajuns.

2. Georgia Bulldogs (4-0, Last Week: #2)

Georgia didn’t look as good as I thought they would against Missouri, but they were never truly challenged in the game.

3. LSU Tigers (4-0, Last Week: #3)

Louisiana Tech gave the Tigers a little scare, but they pulled away in the end.

4. Kentucky Wildcats (4-0, Last Week: #7)

The Wildcats move up quite a bit after they took down Mississippi State. Now the key is if they’ll be able to keep it up.

5. Auburn Tigers (3-1, Last Week: #5)

Auburn still has serious offensive issues, but they did win against Arkansas. So the Tigers get to stay at number 5

6. Mississippi State Bulldogs (3-1, Last Week: #4)

The Bulldogs took one on the chin against Kentucky. Now we get to see how Joe Moorhead responds.

7. South Carolina Gamecocks (2-1, Last Week: #10)

A lot of people thought the Gamecocks might lose to Vanderbilt, but they put on a really good performance.

8. Missouri Tigers (3-1, Last Week: #8)

I still don’t know how good or bad Missouri is, so 8 seems about right.

9. Ole Miss Rebels (3-1, Last Week: #11)

I really need to see more from this team to truly evaluate how much the defense will hamper the offense. I also need to see if the offense will perform at the highest level against most SEC opponents, or if it will go into hibernation like it did against Alabama.

10. Texas A&M Aggies (2-2, Last Week: #6)

I’m not big on the Aggies for this year at least. They should rebound from the thrashing they took against Alabama this weekend though.

11. Florida Gators (3-1, Last Week: #12)

The Gators looked like a really good team against Tennessee. But it was Tennessee.

12. Vanderbilt Commodores (2-2, Last Week: #9)

Vandy didn’t look quite as good against South Carolina as they did Notre Dame.

13. Tennessee Volunteers (2-1, Last Week: #13)

Tennessee doesn’t move down because Arkansas looks a lot worse.

14. Arkansas Razorbacks (1-2, Last Week: #14)

This is one of the worst SEC teams I can remember.

Next. Joe Moorhead's honeymoon is over. dark

That wraps up the fifth edition of the SEC Power Rankings. Check back next week to see how much change there is after the first set of games.
