Mississippi State football vs Kentucky: Five first half thoughts

When did punting become something of an uncertainty for Mississippi State?

Through the first half of the Mississippi State football game against Kentucky, there were plenty of other areas of concern present. Penalties, poor execution, missed blocks, etc. What the Bulldogs truly didn’t need to go right along with all of that was botched punts.

And that’s exactly what Mississippi State had at times in the first half.

Up to this point, Tucker Day was known as a reliable punter. But, after a few poor punts, one that only appeared to go barely 20 yards, Mississippi State switched things up to Kody Schexnayder.

Things are tied up at 7-7 right now. The Mississippi State football team has played poorly and let Kentucky tie things up. The Bulldogs need to execute better and avoid so many penalties in the second half if they want to win.
