Mississippi State’s offense has slogged through a sloppy first half, but the Bulldogs are still moving the ball

Yeah, the Mississippi State football team needs a better performance from its offense. The Bulldogs have looked absolutely rough when they’ve tried to move the ball. Kentucky has been doing a great job of getting after Nick Fitzgerald and taking on MSU’s offensive line, but there’s been far too many errors that have stalled drives for the Bulldogs.

Right now, Nick Fitzgerald has thrown for 118 yards after completing 10 of his 17 passes. He’s run for 24 yards and a touchdown on 9 carries. Fitzgerald needs help right now and that help needs to come sooner rather than later.

Kylin Hill and Aeris Williams have both made it onto the field, but things need to improve up front. MSU has seen a couple of solid drives that inspires something that resembles confidence, but it’d be great if the Bulldogs were moving the ball more efficiently and more explosively.

That’s not too much to ask for, right?
