We’ve got a new Mississippi State football uniform to take a look at!

The Mississippi State football team is breaking out another new uniform combination for their game against the Kentucky Wildcats tonight. Of course, the Bulldogs are on the road up in Lexington, Kentucky. For that Mississippi State road trip, the Bulldogs will be wearing a new road uniform combination this season.

The Bulldogs will be wearing classic white jerseys along with matte maroon helmets and gray pants. That combination differs from MSU’s road uniforms from the Kansas State game. During its trip to Manhattan, Kansas, the Mississippi State football team wore all white uniforms.

That’s clearly not the case here.

Take a look at the uniforms that were showcased in a video tweeted out by @HailStateFB right here:

I’m not much of a specialist on uniforms, but all in all, these uniforms look pretty good. The maroon matte helmet is always a great look for the Bulldogs to go with. They chose them last week for the game against the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns and they’re going with them again here tonight.

I wouldn’t really be upset if the Bulldogs stuck with them for most of the 2018 season. They look pretty good. I’m not much of a superstitious individual either, but it’s probably a good thing that the Bulldogs are going with this helmet rather than the white helmets that they wore in 2016 on their trip to Lexington.

The game against the Kentucky Wildcats is a pretty big one for the Mississippi State Bulldogs. It’s MSU’s SEC opener and it could help set the tone for the entirety of this season if State gets a great road win.
