Keith Mixon showed up and connected well with Fitzgerald

Keith Mixon and Nick Fitzgerald seemed to have a connection developed tonight against the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns. Mixon was by far the best receiver for MSU tonight when the Bulldogs were looking for someone to step up.

Fitzgerald found Mixon a total of 4 times for 80 receiving yards and a couple of passing touchdowns. The Mississippi State football team needs a receiver to step up and become Fitzgerald’s go-to guy. Can Mixon be that wide receiver?

Stephen Guidry has played well so far this season and was pretty good tonight as well. He caught 3 passes for 57 yards and a touchdown of his own. It’s possible that this duo will become a dangerous combination for the Bulldogs.
