Mississippi State’s defense was solid and stifling

It’s kind of common knowledge that this Mississippi State football team will have a dominant defensive line. The Bulldogs are going to be really good on defense and will slow down opposing offenses all season.

Louisiana-Lafayette has a pretty impressive offense and was able to spread the ball out quite a bit, but ultimately it didn’t matter.

Mississippi State’s defense stifled them all night.

The Ragin’ Cajuns only gained a total of 310 yards on offense. Mississippi State sacked Louisiana-Lafayette’s quarterbacks twice and then made 8 tackles for loss. The Bulldogs played solid, disciplined defense against a team that was looking to move quickly and spread MSU out wide.
