Louisiana-Lafayette is doing a solid job of keeping MSU’s defense spread out

Louisiana-Lafayette’s entire offensive game plan appears to revolve around the concept of spreading the ball out to where Mississippi State’s incredibly dominant and disruptive defensive front can’t get in the backfield as often.

And so far, it’s worked pretty well.

In the first half, the Mississippi State football team only has 2 tackles for loss and a grand total of ZERO sacks. That’s frustrating, but Mississippi State is still doing a solid job up front. It’s just not going to show up in the tackles column in the first half.

Hopefully, things will improve for Mississippi State on that front in the second half. The Bulldogs are dominant and deep on the defensive line. Their physicality and depth should wear Louisiana-Lafayette down.
