Mississippi State football showed off their uniforms for the Louisiana-Lafayette game on twitter earlier today
The Mississippi State football team is back at home and will be back in home uniforms for the Bulldogs’ game against the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns. Earlier today, the official Mississippi State football twitter account tweeted out a video featuring the uniform that the Bulldogs are going to wear.
For the Bulldogs’ game at home against Louisiana-Lafayette, it looks like the Mississippi State football team will be wearing a maroon jersey with white pants. The Bulldogs will be wearing a matte maroon helmet to go with that.

However, there are some interesting additions to the Mississippi State football team’s uniforms this week. The Bulldogs will be adding some teal to their usual Maroon and White jerseys in honor of Mississippi State softball’s Alex Wilcox.
Wilcox was a freshman softball player for the Bulldogs last season before she tragically passed away after battling ovarian cancer for so long. This Saturday, during the halftime of the game between MSU and Louisiana-Lafayette, Mississippi State will be retiring her number. As part of honoring Wilcox’s legacy, MSU will be adding a couple of teal accents and some specially designed helmet stickers.

To help explain the reason why they’re doing it and to show the process, MSU shared a video with everyone on twitter as well. Take a look at it here:
And so, there you have it, the Mississippi State football uniforms for the Bulldogs’ game against Louisiana-Lafayette. MSU is making a wonderful and touching gesture by raising awareness and sharing Wilcox’s story with these uniforms as well.
